TRIAL AND PAROLE SUPPORT
For police survivors, the trial of a cop-killer is a tremendous
emotional strain. Members of the Maryland Chapter of COPS will volunteer
to attend the trial with the family, offering comfort and the experience
of having gone through the trial process themselves. Members of COPS
know about the rights of survivors during legal proceedings, and support
the surviving families who wish to make a victim impact statement.
